When it rains, it pours:

Eating broccoli sprouts. Oddly enough, ths was inspired by my father who says they have the highest amount of antioxidants of basically anything. Ironic, since he wouldn't touch them with a ten-foot pole.
Mom and Ellie reading with cousin Leila. During the Michigan visit we had a dress-up reading recital with the cousins.
Ellie loved the grandparents' coffee table with the delicious coasters underneath!
Ellie showing Great-grandma that she's "so big!"

The whole family getting ready to go canoeing. In the end, Ellie passed out for a nap soon after this, and Grandma babysat while Roger and I went for a relaxing canoe ride up the river.

Family Reunion

We had a Campbell family reunion in August in Grand Rapids, and so all the Severinos set out to attend with the cutest family member in tow. After three hours in the airport waiting for a delayed flight, we thought we had fianlly made it when the plane boarded at 11pm. But our adventure had just begun. Before the plane had even taken off, Ellie had thrown up.

By the end of the weekend Roger and I had both gone through her flu- and by the end of the next week the rest of the family had as well. :( Mom and Dad were somehow spared, luckily, and we still had a lot of fun - Ellie and I at the reunion (hoepfully not contagious at that point) and all of us at the beach.

Photos

Ellie loves climbing stairs. If only she knew how to go back down safely.

She hates her car seat - in the car. But she had lots of fun playing with her old outgrown seat once we took it out of the car.

Ellie likes emptying the diswasher and playing with the dishes. Good incentive to rinse the dishes well, and to keep the forks and knives toward the back.
She's been doing some pretty funny faces. Her "squishy-face" is a favorite.

Eating corn on the cob - adorable, but the results are a bit messy with bits of corn all over.
